Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan is a service provided by Luria Library. With interlibrary loan, SBCC students, staff, and faculty can borrow a book or article from another library if that item is not available through Luria Library.

This service is free, but you are limited to 20 requests per academic year. The final day to request materials is the Friday two weeks before the end of the semester. Average turnaround time to receive requested materials from interlibrary loan can take 1-2 weeks – interlibrary loans for books usually take longer than articles. Please plan accordingly.

The first step in this process is to use Luria Library's OneSearch to search for the book or article you are interested in. If the library does not have the item, follow the steps on the Interlibrary Loan Instructions sheet to see how to request the item through interlibrary loan.

If after following the steps on the Interlibrary Loan Instructions sheet you are unable to locate the item and the request link in OneSearch, you may fill out this Interlibrary Loan Request form to submit a request manually. If you have any questions, please email ill@sbcc.edu
